National Science Foundation of Sri Lanka
The National Science Foundation of Sri Lanka was established in 1998 as the successor for the ‘Natural Resources Energy & Science Authority of Sri Lanka’ and the ‘National Science Council’, to facilitate and support basic and applied scientific research by universities, science and technology institutions and scientist while upholding the universality of science and the freedom in pursuit of science. The responsible body in regards to awarding and monitoring research grants in Sri Lanka, the NSF conducts programs and awards prizes for the popularisation of science amongst the people.
